FAQ
What is the Ubuntu VM Root password ?
By default Ubuntu has no password set for the root user. To manually set a
password for the root user type:
sudo passwd
And enter a password for the root user.
Why 7-Zip for compression ?
Out of all the compression methods I tried (zip, rar) 7-Zip had the best compression ratio which helps by saving bandwidth everyday.
Are the virtual machines tested ?
Yes, each virtual machine is always tested prior to being uploaded in both Linux (Ubuntu), Windows (XP), VMware Workstation and Player in both platforms.
The downloads are only offered via HTTP, but I don’t see BitTorrent ?
I would like to offer the downloads via BitTorrent, however I do not have the funds to offer that option. BitTorrent coming soon…..
May I link to Linhost.info ?
Yes, it’s in the Internet after all. All that I ask is that you do not link directly to the virtual machines.
